Maleeq was born in Kosovo in 1981 and fled to Germany as a child in the winter of 1989/1990 with his parents and four sisters. The first years were marked by the fear of deportation, life in temporary accommodation and the lack of understanding an unfamiliar language and environment. A hard time. Maleeq learned to live at a base that we usually know only fictitiously. These years were brutal, repulsive and fascinating at the same time. Authentic reports from an unknown world, one street over. During the intensive work on the new company, we learned more and more details about Maleeq’s past. We asked permission to interview him, without script, just an honest conversation. Maleeq agreed after a short time of consideration.
